Newest creation from Blue Bell combines peach cobbler and ice cream

BRENHAM – Combine the “best ice cream in the country” with the flavors of a prize winning cobbler at the county fair and that’s how you describe the newest ice cream from Blue Bell, Southern Peach Cobbler.

Southern Peach Cobbler Ice Cream is a luscious peach ice cream with hints of cinnamon and brown sugar mixed with sweetened peach slices, a peach swirl and flaky pie crust pieces.

“We’ve taken all the tasty ingredients you would find in a peach cobbler to create our newest flavor,” said Ricky Dickson, vice president of sales and marketing for Blue Bell. “There are peaches in every bite just like a homemade cobbler. Anyone who has eaten our Peaches & Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream knows we don’t short you on peaches. The pie crust pieces, along with the cinnamon and brown sugar are what give this flavor its distinct cobbler taste.”

Blue Bell Ice Cream and peach cobbler are both popular Southern desserts served separately or together. “Peach cobbler is often served with a scoop of ice cream to enhance its delicious flavors,” Dickson added. “Cobbler is a great dessert to serve at family gatherings just like Blue Bell Ice Cream. Now you have both combined in one great tasting ice cream.”

Southern Peach Cobbler Ice Cream will be available in stores in September.
