New Light ice cream makes dieting easy
BRENHAM - Blue Bell Ice Cream has just released two new Light flavors that are sure to tempt anyone, not just those counting calories. Chocolate French Silk Light and Ultimate Neapolitan Light are now available in your grocer's freezer section.
Chocolate French Silk Light Ice Cream is a dark chocolate, French custard ice cream. Ultimate Neapolitan Light Ice Cream is a lighter version of our three most popular flavors -. Homemade Vanilla, Strawberries 'n Homemade and a double Dutch Chocolate packaged side by side in one carton.
"Just because you are watching your diet doesn't mean you can't enjoy the finer things in life like ice cream," said Paul Kruse, Blue Bell CEO and president. "Our Light ice cream is a flavorful, calorie conscious alternative to regular ice cream."
Nutritionally speaking this is how the two flavors compare to regular ice cream - Chocolate French Silk contains 20 percent fewer calories and 55 percent less fat and Ultimate Neapolitan has 25 percent fewer calories and 60 percent less fat.
A ½ cup serving of Chocolate French Silk contains 150 calories and Ultimate Neapolitan has even fewer calories with 140 per serving.
Also available in Light ice cream from Blue Bell are Homemade Vanilla, The Great Divide and Cookies 'n Cream.
