Blue Bell mixes in Butterfinger® candies to create new flavor

BRENHAM - Crunch into the newest flavor from Blue Bell - Butter Crunch Ice Cream, made with real Nestlé Butterfinger® pieces.

Butter Crunch Ice Cream is a tasty vanilla ice cream loaded with chunks of crunchy chocolate peanut butter candy from Butterfinger®.

“We’ve combined our ice cream with pieces of Butterfinger® to create a flavor that packs a bit of a crunch,” said Paul Kruse, Blue Bell CEO and president. “Of course every bite is still surrounded by our smooth and creamy ice cream.”

Butterfinger® has been a top ranking chocolate bar since it was first introduced in 1928. Today, it is purchased by one out of every six U.S. households.

At Blue Bell candy and ice cream have combined for several memorable flavors. Earlier this year the company released Candy Jar Ice Cream. “Candy is a great compliment to ice cream,” Kruse added. “We’re always looking at different candies to see which ones work best with our ice cream. We have flavors with peanut butter cups, peanut brittle and chocolate turtles just to name a few.”

Butter Crunch Ice Cream is now available in your grocer’s freezer section.

Also look for Cherry Amaretto Cordial Ice Cream this holiday season. The flavor is amaretto ice cream blended with crunchy praline-coated almonds and maraschino cherries. The ice cream has not been available from Blue Bell for several years, but is back by popular demand and in stores now.
