Dear Blue Bell

We enjoy receiving letters from Blue Bell fans.

We're so excited about what they have to say we want to share them with you!

Dear Blue Bell,

I am from Rio de Janero, Brazil.  I just got your book from a friend as a gift.  Your book inspired me to share my story with you:

My Father and Mother married in 1948 and had five girls.  I am the fourth one!  My Mother used to make vanilla ice cream for us.  It was the best ice cream in the neighborhood!  She used to pour it into ice cream plastic containers for us and into a half gallon container (metal) for my Dad.  We always complained that it was not fair he got more than all of us but that’s the way it used to be back then.

We lost her in a car accident in 1974.  She was only 46 years old.  We never knew the recipe for that ice cream.

When my husband and I moved to Louisiana in 1992, I tried your Homemade Vanilla for the first time!  I couldn’t help not crying my heart out!  In between scoop and tears it reminded me of my Mom’s ice cream.

Thank you so much for taking me back in time every time I have it.  It brings me such great memories of my Mother!

Sincerely,
Graziela, TX

Dear Blue Bell,

I just wanted to tell you that I used to buy your product often in the past.  Truthfully I had been sucked into the sale pricing of your competition.  I recently purchased your Century Sundae, and was immediately reminded of what a difference truly great ice cream should be.  I had forgotten about the great texture, and flavor that your product has.  Compared with the air and reduced size of your competitors product, yours is truly a better value.  Count me in as a renewed customer.

Sincerely,
Chuck, GA

Dear Blue Bell,

A friend of mine turned me on to your Blue Bell Ice Cream about a year ago.  Since I was born and raised in the south, I am an ice cream lover from the heart.  I just wanted you to know that your ice cream is the best on the market.  It tastes just like the homemade ice cream my grandmother made years ago.

I have never tried the strawberry brand until this week, and I must say I was surprised to see the almost whole strawberries in the ice cream (other brands have mushy berries).  Please do not deviate from the good and quality work and you will always have at least one satisfied customer.

Sincerely,
Mildred, TN

Dear Blue Bell,

We are originally from Houston and in the same Sunday school class as one of your salesman.  Our young son could not wait until Sunday school was out so that he could run to our class to see Mr. Blue Bell.

We are now in North Carolina and have to place our order with your distributor in Charlotte and drive an hour to Greensboro, NC, to pick up your ice cream.  We usually get around 55-65 half gallons at a time.  We have one freezer that the only thing in it is Blue Bell Ice Cream.  We now have neighbors and friends that we order ice cream for too.  They love it and wish that they could get it here in Durham.  We do not even charge these friends and neighbors an up charge for our gas which at today’s prices is quite a bit (I drive a gas guzzler).

When we were in Quebec, a couple of years ago, we had some of the best ice cream we have ever had (besides Blue Bell)- it was Maple Toffee and was absolutely to die for.  We would like to see Blue Bell try to formulate this as a new flavor sometime in the future.  It did not have nuts in it!

Wanting Blue Bell in Durham, NC,
Martha, NC

Dear Blue Bell,

Just a note to let you know how much I enjoy your ice cream.

The last two have been Banana Pudding and Chocolate Covered Strawberries- both excellent.

The price is right- the quality is great- and the half gallon is what it should be.

Atta boy and keep up the good work.

Sincerely,
Lynn, KY

Dear Blue Bell,

My husband and I eat NO other brand of ice cream but Blue Bell.  We were natives of the Kansas City, MO, area, and had no trouble finding Blue Bell, but we moved here to the Phoenix, AZ, area two years ago, just after Blue Bell arrived (you can’t imagine the excitement when we saw your first truck out here!) and now we find they aren’t our favorites!  Now, all we buy is Homemade Vanilla because we are no longer able to find Coffee (our favorite) or plain Chocolate Chip (not Cookie Dough or Mint).  It also doesn’t seem like these eight flavors we get are ever rotated with any of your other flavors, either.  We’ve also tried going to all different kinds of grocery stores in the hope that one of them would have a box (or four) of our beloved Coffee or Chocolate Chip!  Are we ever going to see these two flavors again out here in Phoenix, or is there anywhere I might find any?  We’re missing it terribly and are losing hope.

Please tell whoever does the distribution for Chandler, AZ, that two Blue Bell-a-holics are desperate!  And we hope you haven’t quit making these two flavors.  They make my mouth water.

Sincerely,
Donna, AZ
