Blue Bell unveils original painting to honor 100th Anniversary

Blue Bell Creameries recently unveiled an original painting created by Texas based
artist Benjamin Knox to honor the company's 100th Anniversary. The painting combines
historical images with modern Blue Bell icons.
The original artwork will be displayed at company headquarters in Brenham.
Reprints will be available for sale in the Blue Bell Country Stores and online at
www.bluebell.com.
The reprints are available in 5x7 postcard and 10x17 sizes. Also, limited edition
giclees, in 10x20 and 20x40 sizes will also be sold. A select number of the giclees
will be signed by Knox. A giclee is a high quality scan of an existing artwork.
Prints will also be for sale July 19-20, at the “A Day in the Country” celebration
in Brenham, Texas, which is open to the public. Knox will be present at select times
during the event to sign prints.
“We are extremely pleased with the painting,” said Bill Weiss, public relations
manager. “Benjamin did an outstanding job incorporating so much Blue Bell history
into this one piece. We are honored to display this amazing painting here at company
headquarters.”
Knox, who has a gallery in College Station, Texas, is a graduate of Texas A&M
University. He has created pieces for the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum,
the Texas State Capitol and several colleges.
