It's official! Mary Jane Hegley's Southern Hospitality is not only a winner with Blue Bell, but with ice cream lovers too.

Southern Hospitality Ice Cream was chosen as the winner in last year's Taste of the Country Flavor Contest. And now, the flavor is available in all grocery stores where Blue Bell is sold.

The flavor debuted in Charleston, S.C., in April, the city which served as Hegley's inspiration for Southern Hospitality.  As an added bonus, Hegley had the opportunity to visit local radio stations and talk about the flavor she created. The Mayor of Charleston Joseph Riley even declared April 3, Mary Jane Hegley Day in her honor.

Southern Hospitality Ice Cream is Homemade Vanilla with chunks of pineapples, roasted pecans and a strawberry sauce swirl.
